Job Description

Under supervision, the Fiscal Analyst will be responsible for all aspects of processing purchases, payments and reimbursements within the agency. The incumbent must also establish and maintain a tracking system for the purchases and payments internally as well as on the Financial Management System (FMS). The Fiscal Analyst must be capable of interacting with vendors in purchasing transactions for the agency, as well as staff members of the Queens Borough President's Office and Community Boards. The incumbent will prepare all purchasing documentation, management reports, DCAS requirement contracts documents, required 0MB reports, and Comptroller single audits, In addition, special projects assigned by the budget director related to the fiscal and budget responsibilities of the department.

May be assigned to special projects.
May be required to work some nights and weekends.

Minimum Qualifications


Qualification Requirements
1. High school graduation or equivalent and three years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to duties described above; or
2. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" above.


Preferred Skills


1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above or 2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above 3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.

Residency Requirement


New York City residency is generally required within 90 days of appointment. However, City Employees in certain titles who have worked for the City for 2 continuous years may also be eligible to reside in Nassau, Suffolk, Putnam, Westchester, Rockland, or Orange County. To determine if the residency requirement applies to you, please discuss with the agency representative at the time of interview.
