Job Description
The Queens Borough President's Office seeks a dynamic, motivated individual to join the Communications Department as a Digital Design and Content Manager, who will play a key role in shaping and disseminating the office's messaging to all 2.4 million Queens residents via social media content creation, website management and more.
COMMUNITY COORDINATOR - 56058
1. A baccalaureate degree from an accredited college and two years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties described above; or
2. High school graduation or equivalent and six years of experience in community work or community centered activities in an area related to the duties as described above; or
3. Education and/or experience which is equivalent to "1" or "2" above. However, all candidates must have at least one year of experience as described in "1" above.
Significant prior experience managing social media and designing content for either a government official/entity or private sector organization. Significant prior experience in both shooting and editing video content for dissemination on social media. Possesses strong writing and communication skills, as well as a strong understanding of social media platforms such as X, Instagram, Facebook and YouTube. Proficient in Adobe Photoshop, Indesign and Illustrator. Maintains a solid work ethic and ability to work well in a fast-paced team setting. Ability to work night and weekend events as necessary.
