Job Description
We are looking for a responsible building custodian who can maintain our clean office space and assist with setting up our conference rooms for large presentations and business meetings. The building custodian will be responsible for all minor repairs to furniture and equipment at their assigned location. The ideal candidate will be experienced in a custodian role focused on building upkeep and proactively addressing office area issues and bathroom facility environment concerns. They must have great physical endurance to cover a large space. A keen eye for detail and diligence are also imperative in custodial maintenance jobs. The successful candidate will be required to respond to repair calls and work orders for such activities as replacing a broken light, cleaning up a non-toxic spill and removing damaged office furniture.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist with the setup of conference rooms for meetings and events.
- Complete work order requests for each location assigned.
- Clean and prepare vacant offices and work stations.
- Wipe and disinfect high touch areas and maintain daily production logs.
- Replace light bulbs throughout the space including task lights under desks and workstations.
- Assists with loading vans/trucks with archive boxes and/or furniture.
- Receive deliveries of supplies/materials and transport to alternate locations.
- Move file cabinets and/or furniture.
- Prepare archives for retrieval by facilities staff.
- Work on special projects as required.
- Touch up painting of offices and common areas as needed.
Other Significant Requirements:
- Active Driver’s license
- Experience and willingness driving passenger car, van, and box truck
- Ability to use basic and power tools
- Must be able to lift heavy boxes and move equipment
- Strong oral & written communication skills
- Ability to multi-task & work with minimal supervision
- Skilled in Microsoft Outlook.
- Overtime may be required for certain projects

Two years of full-time satisfactory experience in the cleaning and maintenance of buildings.
To be assigned to Assignment Level II, candidates must have three years of satisfactory experience as described in the "Qualification Requirements" above.
To be assigned to Assignment Level III and IV candidates must have four years of satisfactory experience as described in the "Qualification Requirements" above.
